The Broads Authority wants to start branding the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads as a National Park

The Broads consist of 188 square miles of inland waterways and are the country’s largest protected wetland

The Broads are already a big money spinner for the region. With eight million visitors a year they generate around £570 million for the economies of Norfolk and Suffolk. But branding the area as a National Park would bring many more millions as the name becomes known around the country and the rest of the world.
