Norfolk Broads Fishing Holidays

The Norfolk Broads is renowned as one of the finest fishing spots in Britain with its vast area of interconnected rivers and shallow lakes being home to an incredible variety of fish.

Why not use your Broads holiday to relax and take in some of the beautiful rivers and waterways whilst fishing on the Norfolk Broads from the river’s edge or on board a Norfolk Broads Direct holiday cruiser (when moored only). Some of the finest fishing spots on the Broads are not accessible on foot and so a Norfolk Broads cruiser gives you the ultimate access to these fishing havens.

The Broads Authority have improved accessibility to some of the best spots for fishing on the Broads so wheelchair users can easily gain access to platforms and cast their line. These fishing platforms can be found at Rollesby Bridge, Filby Broads, the south-east bank of the River Thurne and upstream of the New Bridge at Potter Heigham.

The incredible variety of fish in the Norfolk Broads include carp, eel, roach, rudd, bream, perch, pike and tench. The popularity of fishing on the Norfolk Broads is plain to see with many tackle shops located around the waterways and in the towns and villages.

What You Need To Fish On The Broads

The coarse fishing season runs from 16 June to 14 March and all you need to fish on the Norfolk Broads is a current Environment Agency license, available from post offices.

Information on rod licenses, prices and fishing rules can be found by visiting www.gov.uk/fishing-licences.

Please be responsible when fishing on the Norfolk Broads and ensure that you always take your litter away with you and don’t discard any fishing equipment as this can easily harm the wildlife in the area.
