Wow what a fantastic time we had yesterday evening at the 10th EDP visitnorfolk.co.uk Tourism Awards ceremony sponsored by Hoseasons.  Tourism businesses and leaders got together to celebrate all that is great about the Norfolk Tourism offer.

Following several years of successful participation in two categories: ‘Best Broads Holiday Experience’ and ‘Sustainable Tourism Award’, we were once again selected as finalists for ‘Best Broads Holiday Experience’.  In a closely competed battle for the coveted award, Richardson’s Boatyard pipped us and Waveney River Centre to the final hurdle. We are however, extremely proud to add ‘Finalist’ to our collection, having previously won the category in 2009 and 2013.

Each award category is judged by a sponsor and a representative from Archant.  The Best Broads Holiday Experience was sponsored by Wroxham’s newest tourist attraction, Wroxham Miniature World.   We were judged back in the summer by Sean Green from the Miniature World and the Broads Correspondent for the EDP, Stephen Pullinger.   We are extremely proud to be considered one of the best businesses in the Broads!

In addition to being a finalist, I was absolutely thrilled to be presented with the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’. The award was sponsored by Hoseasons and was given to me in recognition of the time I spent as Chairman of Broads Tourism.  What a lovely surprise and a perfect way to end a fantastic evening.
