We support the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads Charitable Trust with the ‘Love the Broads’ campaign. Funds raised help to look after the beautiful landscapes and environment of the Broads, for the benefit of local communities and visitors alike.
The Broads is Britain’s magical waterland, a uniquely beautiful environment shaped by people working hand in hand with nature over thousands of years. We at Norfolk Broads Direct have decided to support The Broads Trust, to help fund projects to ensure that The Broads is kept just the way it should be.
This money is collected by the Broads Trust and given to projects which will look after the beautiful landscapes and environment of the Broads. With your help, the Trust can work alongside businesses and community groups to improve sustainable practices. They make sure that the money raised goes to the places that need it most so the Broads remain amazing and a beautiful to visit.

Norfolk Broads Direct have elected to support two very special projects.
The first is for a new mooring project at Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden where it is intended to erect six, new 24-hour moorings and two permanent moorings. This will allow access to the local village of South Walsham for people staying on boats. When built the new moorings will significantly benefit the local community, pub, post office and shop as well as local visitor attractions.
The second project is to part fund the production of an educational booklet detailing the history of the Broads from creation to modern times. This is a joint project between Love the Broads, the Norfolk Wherry Trust and Norfolk Broads Direct. This booklet will be given out to children on school visits to the Norfolk Wherry Trust and to children taking part on Broad Tours’ Discovery trips. It will also be available to download on these organisations’ websites and will be shared with other Wherry organisations on the Broads.

We have a book exchange shelf in the Arrivals Reception where books can be exchanged or taken for a small donation.
