Are you thinking of booking your first boating holiday? Or perhaps you’ve already booked your break and you’ve got some burning questions. We’re always happy to help, so much so that we’ve even created video guides for those who have booked with us to help with questions you may have whilst out on your boat. In the meantime, we have collated a list of our top frequently asked questions below.

Holiday cruisers –

Can I take a pet onboard?

Yes, pets are welcome on all of our boats.

Are they easy to drive?

Yes, our boats are easy to drive. Before your holiday you will be emailed a link to a video which shows you your boat, navigation tips and rules of the river. You will also be shown your boat on your arrival to the yard, where you can ask as many questions as you like. We will make sure that you are happy with the boat and the controls before you leave the yard.

What size boat should I book?

You should make sure to book a boat that has enough cabins for your party. Many of our boats are quite spacious for the number of people on board. So you do not need to go for more cabins, thinking that this will mean a bigger boat.

Why are there two steering positions?

Many of our customers enjoy steering from the upper deck as it gives them the opportunity to see more from outside. The inside steering position can be used in case the weather is not so inviting.

What is a bow thruster?

A bow thruster can be used to help turn the bow of the boat if you are mooring up or just turning the boat around in a small amount of space.

Is there WiFi onboard?

Yes, all of our boats have WiFi onboard, although please be aware that there is limited signal whilst on the Broads.

Is it easy to find a mooring?

Many customers find that they tend to moor up in the afternoon so that they can explore their surroundings before dinner. There are public moorings throughout the Broads in the villages and there are a variety of pubs that have their own moorings, so if you wanted a drink or dinner at a pub, you would be welcome to moor there.

Now that you’re up to speed, you should be ready to book your boating holiday. Why not browse our holiday cruisers and enjoy a break of exploring the beautiful waterways on the Norfolk Broads? Spend some much needed time relaxing, spending time with friends and family and discovering what the Broads has to offer.
